Green Belt Training
Course Description and Audience:
Course is designed for those individuals who require an entry level knowledge of the DMAIC methodology and tools. Students of this class will understand the DMAIC process as well as be introduced to some of the key tools (Charter, Run Charts, Check Sheets, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Process Mapping, Data Analysis, and more) with an emphasis on solving an organization problem.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of the course the participants will be able to:
1. Identify a problem that requires improvement.
2. Define a problem in measurable terms.
3. Contain the problem while developing a long-term solution.
4. Collect respresentative data of the problem.
5. Use JMP to analyze the data for Root Causes.
6. Lead a team in brainstorming activities.
7. Prioritize solutions based upon Risk, Complexitiy, and Impact.
8. Initiate control plans to maintain the gains.
